Do all Republicans hate the LGBT crowd or just some?

Why would you reject a bill that allows someone to serve their country freely? I thought Republicans want as little government intervention as possible so why wouldn't they just repeal the bill? I mean this is blatant discrimination. That's like not letting someone use the restroom because they are of a certain skin color. Do they hate the LBGT crowd?
