Is it hard to bridge the gap and have hetero friends when they have been so mean to you your whole life?

I don't think ual orientation should really affect any platonic relationship you have. It's a small part of who a person is, and doesn't have an effect on who you are or how you act. There's no reason that gays and heterouals should be seen as radically different people. Judging someone on which they're attracted to is ridiculous. Just because some straight people are phobic doesn't mean that you should hate all of them. There are bad people in every group, but that doesn't mean they represent the whole.
