Older Bands VS Newer Bands.

That everyone my ages likes new music. I'm 18 and love older music such and Nirvana, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Alanis Morissette, Aerosmith, Crash Test Dummies, The Beatles, Fun Lovin' Criminals etc etc the list could go on! But half of my friends have never even heard of such bands! Who listens to this music? And is it just me or can they play sooo much better?
