Nodes on my mares chest?

my horse had one by her withers too hers was about, well i would have to say about nickle sized and it's not really noticeable i noticed this about 6 days ago, and can't really even tell it was ever there it was defiantly a fly bite. if its hard it has got to be some insect bit but if you believe otherwise i would have the vet come out
